Gemstone Disclosure

**Natural stones.** Unless clearly stated otherwise, the gemstones we sell are natural stones. Natural stones commonly contain inclusions; these are a normal characteristic, not a fault.

**Treatments.** Common trade treatments — heating of rubies and sapphires, oiling or resin filling of emeralds — are disclosed on the product page where known to us.

**Origin.** Origin is stated where we are confident of it, and marked as unconfirmed where we are not.

**Certification.** Where a piece carries a laboratory report, the lab name and certificate number are shown on the product page and on the piece's digital passport. We never display a certificate number we do not hold.

**Synthetics.** Lab-grown or simulated stones, if ever offered, will be labelled explicitly as such.
